„Vladimir, STOP!” Trump Condemns Russian Assault on Kyiv | World News Tonight
Our main stories today:
Russia has launched a deadly assault on Kyiv, killing at least a dozen people and injuring many more, including children and a pregnant woman. The early morning attack is being regarded as one of the most devastating air strikes against Ukraine in months and even drew a rare rebuke from President Trump.
Polish President Andrzej Duda has said that Ukraine will need to make concessions to strike a deal with Russia, and that the U.S. is the only power capable of bringing peace. At the same time, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte is in Washington while concerns grow over America turning away from the alliance.
The U.S. is denying any claims that it could lift sanctions on Russia as part of a peace deal in Ukraine. Meanwhile, a media report out on Thursday indicated that the White House was considering relaunching Nord Stream 2, something Europe is firmly against.
