The IMF has spoken: Tariffs are pulling global economy down | The Bottom Line

The International Monetary Fund has released its newest economic forecasts – and they don’t look good. The fund has slashed its expectations when it comes to global growth by staggering 0.5 percentage points emphasizing, that to combat this one would need more stable and predictable environment (taking a jab at Donald Trump’s tariff policy). Markets seem to agree with Fund’s recommendations, as investors are pouring assets into gold, pushing the price of the commodity to around 3.5 thousand dollars per ounce mark.
